European Medical Science Liaison - Team Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced MSL line manager to join our growing international medical affairs team. The opportunity is to first line manager a team of 5 MSL’s across Europe who focus in the schizophrenic therapeutic area. 

 

Our new MSL line manager will be working with an established customer with head offices in London. The role involves extensive travel to the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands and an opportunity to drive the motivation, development and leadership of the MSL’s in the field.

 

The successful individual will have medical science liaison line management experience be based in Europe and be fluent in English, hold a demonstrable track record within a first line manager and project manager capacity, have strong coaching and exceptional leadership abilities, whilst also being adept at motivating a broad range of individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure defined projects achieve high standards of performance
  • Provide input into strategic initiatives and the Business Planning process, ensuring on-going communications amongst team 
  • Manage, train and develop Medical Science Liaison Managers within core team
  • Ensure all team members have an understanding and working knowledge of the project service
  • Ensure all Medical Science Liaison activities comply with local requirements
  • Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resources matters.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Degree in Life Sciences with 10 years experience in pharmaceutical medical affairs, with previous relevant line management experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
