Our Opportunity

As a Medical Advisor, you will provide medical leadership and operational management incorporating the initiation, development and delivery of expert medical and scientific activity to optimise and achieve stakeholder objectives for assigned products and therapy areas.



Provide medical and scientific expertise to all our activities and ensure effective cross-functional working, in particular, the development and implementation of the brand aligned Medical strategy including the delivery of relevant clinical insights, internal and external scientific product presentations and training, publication plan development and implementation, external advisory board meetings and symposia, management of grant requests, and the review and approval of promotional and scientific materials


Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with key external experts, HCPs, government authorities, funding bodies and other entities, and facilitate appropriate medical and scientific information exchange. This will include regular field visits.


Support the conduct of company sponsored research and identify potential clinical trial/NIS leads.


Be responsible for the provision of high quality and timely medical information in response to requests from the field, for all our products, in line with SOPs. Provide “out of hours” cover for all products in Ireland as needed


Ensure we act in compliance with the IPHA Code and be the Final Code Signatory. Review and approve promotional materials and act as a source of compliance counsel for other colleagues


Be responsible for the line management and development of all members of the Medical team in IE (e.g. MSL) including recruitment, appraisal, performance management and associated responsibilities




Adhere to, develop, maintain and implement Medical Standard Operating Procedures




Skills and Experience required:

A medical/pharmacy qualification with a full,  registered licence to practice

Experience of working within the pharmaceutical industry and with the IPHA Code

Strong evidence of experience of Irish medical practice, including structure and patient pathways

Excellent written and spoken English

Knowledge of Irish health service

Knowledge of the IPHA Code

Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills and data sharing
