Nurse Advisor – COPD - Leinster - Part-time

 

We currently require a motivated, innovative and enthusiastic individual to join our Nurse Advisor team to deliver activities which achieve the objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) of the programme.

 

 Role and Responsibilities:  

 

  • Ensure clinical competence in disease area. - COPD
  • Ensure clinical competence to deliver programme objectives e.g. setting up COPD clinics and recall systems, conducting clinical audit.
  • Assist practice nurses & lead GP to establish COPD clinics, to review and educate patients on all aspects of their COPD.
  • Present audit feedback to clinics where audit was completed.
  • To have an understanding and working knowledge of HSE environment.
  • To implement the programme processes within potential sites e.g. honorary contract, management protocol, search criteria, clinical pathway,feedback mechanisms and customer satisfaction. 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

Skills and background required:

·         Experienced Nurse Specialist/Nurse Advisor

·         Interest/specialism within COPD

·         Excellent communication and organisational skills

·         The ability to inspire confidence and trust

·         A flexible and adaptable approach to work

·         Current NMBI

·         Strong IT skills

·         Full EU Driving Licence (no more than 6 points)

·         Eligible to work full-time within the EU
