We are currently looking for a qualified, experienced Senior Staffing Specialist to support the continuous improvement of early talent recruiting through development and implementation of staffing programs for a geographically distributed organization, as assigned. With limited guidance, provide comprehensive staffing support to both customer and management team, as assigned. With limited guidance, provide expertise, support and advice on the staffing process to assigned customer and management teams as required.

The Senior Staffing Specialist will advise the business on recruiting best practices; on-campus event strategy and content; summer intern and apprenticeship program design; and candidate selling and closing. You will work with a variety of social media and digital recruiting tools with the support of a collaborative team, both within the recruiting team and in the company.

Responsibilities:
• Manage staffing expenses within budget allocations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for campus and entry-level sourcing in the UK
• Coordinate all campus visits and events, including communicating with schools, registering for career fairs, scheduling interviews, and arranging travel logistics
• Conduct on-campus interviews and solidify interest in and acceptance for internship
• Develop strong and lasting relationships with candidates, academic faculty, career service employees, and any other relevant individuals involved in the recruiting process
• Assist senior staffing management with regular evaluations of the early talent applicant pool and assess, track and report on time to hire, cost to hire, and diversity of hires, to identify trends and cost effectiveness.
• Oversee and manage special staffing projects as assigned.
• With limited guidance, provide coaching and counselling to functional business leaders, line management and executive management to effectively support strategic staffing goals.
• Meet with functional business leaders and executive management to communicate and deliver strategic Early Talent solutions as required.
• Maintain data needed to improve policies and practices; recommend and implement enhancements to support a diverse workforce; ensure compliance with local and regional hiring guidelines and procedures, particularly for applicant tracking.
• Provide reports to functional business leaders and executive management quarterly or as requested regarding strategic staffing activity.
• Research, design and implementation of an apprenticeship programme, capitalizing on current and future trends and ensuring a return on the UK Apprenticeship Levy paid by the company.
• Management of apprenticeship funding; keeping up to date with changes and developments in levy policy and working practices and managing the levy digital account.

Qualifications

Capabilities & experience required:
• Bachelor's degree preferred; HR degree and/or HR certification
• Some staffing experience in the pharmaceutical market targeting university students and new graduates
• Experience / knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems strongly preferred.
• Quantitative and analytical thinking skills to track and measure ROI, and to collect, analyse and report findings.
• Strong capabilities in relationship building, client management, strategic and critical thinking, project management and problem resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong social media and digital savvy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
• Demonstrated problem solver with strong attention to detail
• Experience in customer-facing role and demonstrated ability to build relationships both internally and externally
• Working knowledge of technology (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
